Oct. 3rd Weekly Update

Yes, BlizzCon is coming this weekend. Unfortunately, I have to be up all nights in order to watch the BlizzCon 2010 due to the time difference. So Blizzard should fill up my expectation of <Diablo 3> and a rumor of <Warcraft 4>.

Many Korean online games kicks off their tests in this week.

3D action MMORPG <Valiant> developed by Mgame starts its pre OBT from 21st to 25th. Its awesome trailer, DooHong Jung martial art director starred, had had attention.

Mgame’s new MMORPG <WarBane> features?racial?war and class UCC system which enables players to mix the classes. It stars 1st CBT from 21st to 23rd.

DooHong Jung starred the trailer of Valiant.


KOCCA’s game portal, GameNGame, launches with two casual games, <Block Master> and <Tankion>.?The rule of <Block Master> is pretty simple and similar to <Bomber Man>. Its 1st CBT starts from 18th to 22nd.?<Tankion> is a TPS game with cute tanks and starts the 3rd CBT from 22nd to 23rd.

<Quiz Quiz R> is a web game derived from <Quiz Quiz> which had hit the Korean gaming market about a decade ago. It starts CBT on 19th.

<The Heaven of Three Kingdom> developed by HanbitSoft starts 2nd CBT. The UI and customizing system that were complained from the last 1st CBT are revised.

Prius: Blood Anima 2nd CBT


Star Project

The game for girls and ladies looking for love is having OBT. :) The game play is pretty simple as standard dating simulation game. The players will level up by playing simple mini games and go out with male NPC they like.

Dead Six

This modern flight shooting game was pretty good but the players might felt the lack of speed. We will see how it changed at OBT. Single play PvE mode has been updated.


Prius: Blood Anima

The awakening version of <Prius Online>, <Prius: Blood Anima>, kicks off 2nd CBT. This adult-oriented game has new skill system, siege war, PK, wanted system, Anima awakening and so on.

As all the tests end, all the system of <Blood Anima> will be applied to present <Prius Online> and adult only server will be open.

BATTERY Online Pre OBT

Renewal of Ragnarok 2, Legend of the Second.

Gravity has ?renewed <Ragnarok Online 2> after 3 years from its service, and the latest series <Ragnarok Online 2: Legend of the Second> kicks off its first CBT this week.

Although Gravity announced ‘renewal’, most features of the game are?completely?changed. The game engine has been changed to Game Bryo engine from Unreal engine 2, and the characters are changed to taller and awesome from shorter and cute which was?controversial?among the fans.

Dragona 2nd CBT.

<Dragona> which is highly anticipated from MEN after promoting with Sora Aoi, Japanese AV actress, is having 2nd CBT for 5 days. :)

It will likely start OBT within this year.

BATTERY Online Pre-OBT.

<BATTERY Online> has been nicknamed ‘Chosun Warfare’ or ‘Peninsula Warfare’ from the 1st CBT because it was very similar to <Modern Warfare 2>. However many gamers evaluate it is pretty much unique now. We can check how unique and fun it is this week. :)

eStars Seoul and Windysoft’s new game.

4-year old eStars Seoul is held from 13th to 15th at COEX D hall. There will be various interesting events such as offline athletics of and offline racing of and so on. Other e-sports of <Cross Fire>, <Get Amped>, <Warcraft 3>, and <Counter Strike>?and 3D experience zone will be available as well. There is no?admission?fee.

Windysoft will unveil their new online games, <Crayon Shin Chan Online> and <Rusty Hearts>?at the eStars Seoul.

What about women gamers?

<Dragona Online> Stress Test

<Dragona Online> will launch a 5 hour long stress test from 10 pm to 2 am next day. This is kind of a surprise test. Those who participate the test for more than 1 hour will get tickets for the next 2nd CBT.

Additionaly, <Dragona Online> recently hired Sora Aoi, a Japanese AV actress, for their PR model.


Casual Games Aim for Summer.

Casual games like <AOZ>, <Gran Age>, and <Super Dadada> start their test in this week.

<Freestyle Football> and <Fantasy Football Manager EPL> continue the World Cup’s fever by launching test and service respectively.

Other Genres

<Wild Planet> developed by Actozsoft is a fusion genre of TPS and MMORPG. Simply saying, it is a non-targeting MMORPG with bunch of guns. :)

<SamGukJi Ryak> is an online version of good old turn based?SRPGs. Most of old gamers will love it. :)
