NCsoft’s casual MMORPG <Punch Monster> is going to be closed in Korea on February 15. NCsoft announced the closure yesterday at the official site, closing in-game cash shop on the same day.
<Punch Monster> had started its open beta test in July 2010, featuring cute and adorable characters and content. But it has been a while since NCsoft updated major content except cash items, events, and minor patches after last August.
It is currently being published in Japan and China with other name, <Blue Tears>.
Meanwhile, NCsoft once again failed overcoming its fragile field with <Punch Monster> following other casual games including <Dragonica>, <Point Blank>, and <Steel Dog>.
“We decided to close it because we have barely sustained the Korean service. We will continue to develop and publish the casual games with experience we have gained so far,” said an NCsoft official.
